Description: Visit Siena’s town hall, the Palazzo Pubblico, to learn about its rather unique government as we admire 14th-c frescoes whose messages about what constitutes a good or a bad government still resonate today. We’ll walk through the Room of the Nine, the Hall of the (lost) World Map, and the Hall of Italian Unification, plus see a chapel, some she-wolves, centuries-old graffiti, and even a Roman hero or two!
Date & Time: Saturday October 23rd at 11am ET/8am PT (5pm in Italy)
Price: €20 per device (this price includes a ticket to the Palazzo Pubblico, a payment I will make to the museum the day after the tour to account for any last-minute signups!)
Format: Using Zoom, we’ll walk through the main rooms of the Palazzo Pubblico together, and you can ask questions during the tour or at the Q&A at the end. You will receive an automatic email with the Zoom meeting access information, and I’ll send the details again the day before the talk. If you do not receive the emails, please check your spam folder for a message from anna@sienaitalytours.com.
The tour will be recorded and available to you for a week afterwards.
