184 km of paved and unpaved roads (‘strade bianche’ means gravel or unpaved roads) - I’m exhausted just thinking about it! The race begins and ends in Siena, starting at the Fortezza and finishing in the Piazza del Campo (where else?). The final stretch is the grueling Via S. Caterina, one of the longest streets in town, and the cyclists’ quads will be burning as they make their way UP it.

Expect some restrictions walking through town as when the women enter the city around 1pm-2pm, and the men around 4pm-5pm. The cyclists will have right of way, ovviamente. Cheer the athletes on in the Campo as you sip on a spritz!
