Following the success of our Tea with Mussolini (Franco Zeffirelli, 1999) talk, let’s try another film + travel, history, and art presentation! You don’t need to watch it to enjoy the talk, but we’ll use Letters to Juliet (Gary Winick, 2010) as inspiration and visit Verona to talk about the real inspiration behind the Montagues and Capulets (yes, they were a thing!), then head south into Tuscany where we’ll alternate between Siena and Montalcino (home to the Brunello vino, so BYOB!).
