Today we shall visit the ideal Renaissance city of Pienza! Founded by the Sienese pope Pius II in the 15th century, architecture and nature exist together here in perfect harmony (both Pienza and the surrounding Val d’Orcia are UNESCO World Heritage sites). Join us as we take you through the whole city (really!) and introduce you to the Piccolomini family, walk down some adorably romantic little streets, and show you shop windows stacked with delicious pecorino (sheep) cheese.
