“A rose is a rose is a rose”…or is it?  If you’ve ever given someone a bouquet of roses, you know that that particular flower choice is meaningful, and although some might thumb their noses at receiving carnations today, they used to symbolize marriage. Dogs represent fidelity (hence the name “Fido”, from the Latin fides, or “faith”), but what does the presence of a cat, peacock, or frog signify? Earn a virtual laurel wreath by finding out!
